We are leaving for Norway in a couple of days and if you are planning to go there as a tourist just know that you have to pay toll on their highways. If you are planning for a roadtrip (and do lots of kilometers) you might consider an Autopass. It’s a device that helps you pass the tollbooths without paying with a credit card or cash. It’s a device that is linked to your online AutoPASS-account so that you can get billed later on (or…Continue Reading “Preparing for Norway : the AutoPASS”

When I was 6 years old I got an orange-golden bike. When I became 10 my dad took me to the bike shop to let me pick out a brand new bike because I was getting a tad to tall for my old one. I refused to pick a new bike… I just couldn’t let my favorite old bike behind. I got kinda attached to the damn little thingie and in my mind I wasn’t ready to give it up. I got a very nice Playmobil set…Continue Reading “Triumph Trophy SE Lounge edition Day 1”

Well, first of all : Big thanks to TC Moto Zaventem for inviting me to the VIP launch in Mechelen organised by Triumph Benelux. On Friday the 28th of September Triumph organised a special VIP event in Hotel Martin’s Patershof where they gave a sneak-peak to a selected crew of Triumph fanatics. I could tell you about the delicious catering and the quite generous amount of beverages that were offered but I don’t think you will be interested in that. So let me tell you…Continue Reading “Triumph Trophy 2013 : first real life impressions.”

We already had the sneak peak in one of my previous posts but now the new Trophy 2013 is officially presented to the press. For more flat journalist reading and copy pasting of the official brochure I would recommend the article on motorcycle.com (http://www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/triumph/2013-triumph-trophy-se-preview-91318.html) or the article on visordown.com (http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-news-new-bikes/revealed-2013-triumph-trophy-1200/20889.html). I’m not going to add much to what is said in those articles but allow me to comment on 2 facts : pricing and availability. The official price will be announced in September it seems…Continue Reading “Triumph Trophy 2013 finally presented to the press”

I’ll be speaking at the CIRB tomorrow. The CIRB is the IT-service of the Brussels Region and they have a special brainstorm day about mobile applications. I’ll present the new application “Visit Brussels” now available in the appstore for download and shortly also on Android. I’m really looking forward to meet the people from the MIVB (Brussels public transport) and the city of Antwerp who will represent their applications. The agenda is as follows : Programme: 10:00 – Bienvenue et introduction 10:15 – Plate-forme Mobile CIBG Eric…Continue Reading “Speaker at the CIRB-CIBG (Think Tank Regional E-Communication) on 28/03”

In 2010 I wrote an article about my 50.000 km on my Sprint ST (50.000 km on a Sprint ST). The article was mainly intended to express my satisfaction with my Sprint ST 2007 model but also to talk about the upcoming Sprint GT that was released a couple of months later. The Sprint GT was my hope to replace my Sprint ST so I immediately requested a test-drive when it came out. The fact that I’m reaching the 70.000 km mark on my Sprint ST is…Continue Reading “The new triumph Trophy 2013 model…finally what I was waiting for”

Well, as a new member of the Avernas Golf Club I wasn’t sure what to expect from the gala-evening that is organised every year by the Avernas Golf Club. I heard a lot of great things and we were able to get rid of the kids (maybe that’s not the best way to say it, let’s just say that Kristan and Natalia were very happy to stay with their cousins that night). Anyhow, the evening started quite calm and relaxed with Valérie making me drop…Continue Reading “Gala-evening at the Avernas Golf Club”

On december 15th I was invited as a speaker at the M-Forum at the AWT (Agence Wallonne de Télécommuncations). I had the opportunity to speak together with Steve Deplacie from BNP Paribas Fortis about the challenges we encountered during the developpement of the new Fortis Mobile Transactional Banking site (m.bnpparibasfortis.be). It was a very interesting conference and I was interviewed afterwards by AWT TV. You’ll see me appear around minute 5.

Well, this morning I had the opportunity to go into the theory of community management with the executive committee of randstad Belgium. Of course we made a quick scan of their existing facebook-pages. By coincidence some guy just put a “not so nice” post on their facebook wall. The post was in German and actually accused Randstad of being modern slave-traders. Kaboom… Anyhow, the page is probably maintained in Holland or in the UK so a post in German might take some time to understand….Continue Reading “Community management…when someone makes a “not so nice post” on your facebook page.”
