Today we accepted the challenge to climb the Reinsfjellet, a mountain next to the Bergsøyfjorden that has a height of 994 meters. On top of the mountain you have a magnificent view of the surrounding fjords, lakes, mountains and the ocean.
Of course the hike was a challenge with our two smurfs who (after more or less 100 meters) started to revolt and asking every 10 meters if it was still far from the top.
But they did well and the reward was worth all the continuous nagging and complaining. We hiked 5,2 kilometres and survived a height difference of 900 meters. Going downhill was faster but not necessarily easier.
Again the weather was great. Not too hot during the climb and while we were descending the sun broke through so that we could enjoy a lovely evening on our terrace. We also took the boat to go and fetch some bread in the supermarket across the fjord. Kristan captained the boat as a real pro while we were enjoying the sunny afternoon on the deck.
